IMPORTANT: Please note changes!

Tuesday 3/1

4:00-6:30 Costume Pick-Up

Please stop by during the Elementary rehearsal on Tuesday to pick up your costume for Wednesday.  If you are unable to stop by during this time frame, please contact Rebekah to set up another time, as everyone will need their costume for Wednesday.

 

Wednesday 3/2

4:00-5:15 All Cast

Thank you to everyone for your flexibility last week!  I realize we are a bit behind in our schedule, but I am confident that we will be able to make up for lost time in the next few weeks.   Please help us out by doing your best to have all lines, lyrics, and dances memorized.

 

Final Plan for Dr. Seuss’ Birthday Wednesday 3/2

Please contact Rebekah ASAP to confirm you will be performing

1. Cabrillo Elementary – Meet at 12:30 PM at Cabrillo’s Performing Arts Center

Please arrive IN COSTUME by 12:30 PM.  We will be performing twice from 1:00-2:00 PM.   Parents may stay and watch, but should arrange to pick up cast members at 2:00.

2. Lincoln Elementary – Meet at 6:30 PM

Arrive IN COSTUME by 6:30 PM.  Meet at the Lincoln Elementary Cafeteria entrance on Plant Ave.  We perform at 7:05.  We are the last performance but are invited to join everyone for cake after the show.

Rebekah Hellerman has been directing youth theatre productions for ten years. Favorite directing projects include Beauty and the Beast, Oliver!, and Sound of Music. She received a B.A. in Elementary Education and teaching credential from Biola University. After founding and building a successful theatre program at OCF Church, Rebekah established Haven Academy of the Arts. Under OCF Youth Theatre she organized and directed four successful Summer Theatre Camps, produced well-known family musicals, and facilitated outreach programs in inner-city Los Angeles. During Haven’s first year, she taught 2nd grade at Hermosa Valley and 3rd/4th grade at First Lutheran Venice. Rebekah believes strongly in applying educational theory and child development to directing children. She is consistently blessed by the amazing opportunities God has given her to work with these talented young people.
