Important Note:

Please be aware that the only cast members who are permitted to attend the other cast’s dress rehearsal are the leads listed in the schedule.  We do not have supervision for your child to watch the other cast’s run through.  Additionally, the only lead roles and advanced dancers who will be permitted to attend Cue to Cue are listed in the above schedule.  Please arrange to pick your child up on time for their stage placement and clean up calls.  You will be billed a late fee if your child is left unattended for a dress rehearsal or cue to cue and is not called on the schedule.

This also includes performances.  Young children will not be permitted to watch the other cast’s performance without parent supervision.  Teens who attend without parents should be aware that Haven is not responsible any cast members who purchase a ticket and attend another cast’s performance.  Please note that we anticipate being sold out so you must have a ticket if you plan on watching from the audience.

 Tech Week Dinners:

Tech week dinner will be served starting at 5:30 on Monday, and 4:30 Tuesday and Wednesday.  Please arrange to pick up your dinner as close to the serve start time as possible.  Tech week dinners will only be served for up to one hour.

Box Office Hours:

Tuesday 11/6 5:00-6:00 PM (In the lobby)

Wednesday 11/7 5:00-6:00 PM (In the lobby)

One hour before each performance (At the door)

Because we are nearly sold out, you may bring in any tickets you do not plan on using to the Tech Week Box Office Hours on Tuesday or Wednesday for refund.  Please note there will be no refunds at the door for performances.

Set Strike:

Please be aware that each cast member will be given a set strike chore after their closing performance each weekend. Younger cast members will be given a short chore (5 min), teens will be asked to pitch in with a larger job (striking sets, carrying props, cleaning up costumes).

If you are a lead and wearing a body mic, please treat it with care.  If you damage a mic, you will need to pay for the damages.  You are not to remove your own mic!  At the end of each performance and rehearsal please see T LeFort for removal.

For Tuesday and Wednesday we are asking those who are wearing a body mic at the start of the show to be in costume, hair, and make-up at 5:00 PM.  Doors will be open as early as 3:00 PM should you wish to get there early.  If you are wearing a mic later in the show, please see T LeFort when you arrive at 5:00 PM for mic switch instructions.

Below is a list of cast members who are wearing a body mic.  If your name is listed first, you are wearing a mic at the top of the show.  If your name is listed second or third, you will be switching into a mic later in the show.

There are NO conflicts during tech week.  No exceptions.   Please remember, you are part of a team and you let down your team when you aren’t present. If you miss a stage placement, clean up day, or dress rehearsal, you will not be permitted to perform.

Stuff to Bring

Please bring the following items to rehearsal.  You may leave these items under your chair the entire week.

(1) Make-up Kit (foundation, blush, mascara, eye shadow, eye liner)

(2) Hair brush and bobby pins (we don’t share hairbrushes)

(3) Leotard or shorts and tank to wear under your costume for quick changes.

(4) A water bottle with a lid (no food and drink allowed near costumes, only water in a sealed container)

(5) Assigned shoes and tights/socks for performance

(6) Book or quiet activity for downtime

Stuff to Leave at Home

Please leave the following items at home.

(1) Valuables (anything you would be sad about if it gets lost or stolen)

(2) IPod, Game Boy, DS, or other electronic games (cell phones should be on silent and kept out of sight, no texting or games on your cell during tech rehearsals or performances)

(3) Jewelry (remove and leave at home all earrings, necklaces, rings, as they are not a part of your costume)

(4) Painted nails

Ending Time

The tough part about tech week is that we need to get through the entire production each night.  For Cue to Cue, we will do our best to end by 10:00 PM.   For dress rehearsals, we will do our best to end by 9:30 PM. Please feel free to text the Haven Phone for an update on ending times or come early and watch the end of the rehearsal.  Your child can call when the rehearsal is finished.

Feel free to watch dress rehearsals and use the opportunity to take photos. Reminder that there is no videography or flash photography during performances.

Please sign in at the side glass doors.  If you do not sign in, we will assume you are not present and our stage manager will call to find you.

Sign-Out – Tech Week

You must check out each night with Kelsea (Enchanted Object Ensemble, Featured Dancers) or Molly (all other roles) to insure that your costumes and props have been properly put away.  Please make sure you sign out so that we know your parents have picked you up.

Sign-Out for Performances – Grades 5 and under

Parents, you will be required to physically sign out your child. Please come to the stage right backstage area to pick up your child. Please feel free to take your child to greet friends and family in costume. Just make sure to change before you leave the building.

Sign-Out for Performances – Grades 6 and up

After the show, older cast members will be released in costume to visit with friends and family.  Once a cast member is released, they are no longer under the care of Haven staff members.

Parents, family members, and friends will not be allowed backstage during performances.  Parent volunteers for each performance will be given a badge.  Parents, you are welcome to help your child with costumes and make up until 30 minutes prior to curtain.  The backstage area will be re-opened to parents after the show.

Costumes are never to leave the building.  You should always change back into your street clothes after each rehearsal or show.  Please leave all your costumes, shoes, and props here at the church – even if it’s something that you personally own.
