Please be sure to order your child’s performance shoes as soon as possible so that they can begin to rehearse in them.

Featured Dancers:
Featured Dancers will need tap shoes in addition to their black jazz shoes. Any black tap shoe will work (flat or heel).

**We have a limited amount of tap shoes that will be available to borrow if cost is a concern for you. Please email Miss. Kelsea if you are interested in borrowing a pair: kelsea@havenartsacademy.org

Our costumer has requested the following items for the performances to be brought from home. You do not need these until tech week, but we wanted to give you plenty of notice so that you could purchase them ahead of time.

Petite Players: Plain black pants or long black leggings. Long black socks.

Featured Dancers: Plain black pants or long black leggings. Long black socks.

Featured Dancers + Jasmine: 

Nude colored spaghetti strap leotard and tan dance tights. We recommend getting DANCE tights instead of panty hose because they are built much thicker and won’t fall apart or get runs in them during the performance. Some examples below:

About havenacademy

Rebekah Hellerman has been directing youth theatre productions for ten years. Favorite directing projects include Beauty and the Beast, Oliver!, and Sound of Music. She received a B.A. in Elementary Education and teaching credential from Biola University. After founding and building a successful theatre program at OCF Church, Rebekah established Haven Academy of the Arts. Under OCF Youth Theatre she organized and directed four successful Summer Theatre Camps, produced well-known family musicals, and facilitated outreach programs in inner-city Los Angeles. During Haven’s first year, she taught 2nd grade at Hermosa Valley and 3rd/4th grade at First Lutheran Venice. Rebekah believes strongly in applying educational theory and child development to directing children. She is consistently blessed by the amazing opportunities God has given her to work with these talented young people.
